Beer BBQ Sauce

2-14 oz. catsup
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. cayenne
1 tsp. paprika
1 can beer
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. celery salt

Jack Daniel's BBQ Sauce Print

2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup Jack Daniel's Whiskey
3 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoon flour
2 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 clove garlic

Rub saucepan with garlic, discard garlic. Melt 2 tablespoons butter, stir in flour. Slowly add broth, stirring constantly. Add parsley, cook until thickened, set aside. Saute mushrooms and onion in 1 tablespoon of butter until tender. Add whiskey and thickened broth. Simmer several minutes over low heat. Serve over grilled or broiled chicken. Makes 2-1/2 cups.


Salsa (from Keri)

Blend in blender:

1 Tbsp. of jalapeno peppers with juice
1/2 tsp. garlic pwd
3/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. onion pwd
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. dry minced onions

Add:

1- 14.5 oz. diced tomatoes with sweet onions
1- 10 oz. tomatoes & green chilies diced in tomato juice
2- 8 oz. tomato sauce

Pat's Spaghetti Sauce

Mix:

6 cups chopped peeled tomatoes (if fresh tomatoes, simmer for at an hour)
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 tsp. dry basil
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. chopped dried parsley
1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
 

freeze or can

when ready to eat Add:
1 lb. brown hamburger meat or use it when an Italian flavor tomato sauce is desired.
