Table Flowerpots - 2010
so if I'm different -- I've succeeded in my goal

On 6/14 I started doing the SE table flowerpots (again). I had it done in 2005, before relandscaping. I worked on it until 10 pm (picture taken on the 15th at 5:46 am). Previously a huge limb fell on it probably the winter of 2007 when it was in a different location. It bent the weathervane and broke several of the vases, but the table didn't fall over - hmmm! But I never did try to redo it because I thought I'd be getting the yard redone - soon.

This picture was also taken on the 15th but 12 hours later! I placed the pipe/post/pole in, but I couldn't pound it in very deep because I couldn't remove the weathervane pole ... Back to square one, it could've been worse and broke everything -- another learning experience.

I poured concrete in a hole and placed the pipe into it and while drying, I tied it to stronger objects to make let it dry straight.

6/27/10 &I'm not strong enough. Thanks Jeff! I didn't need help several years ago because I was able to pound it further into the ground then I added the weathervane pole.

Matt did a good job on rebending most of the weathervane pieces. I thought I would purchase a new one, but I couldn't find one I liked better than the one Paul & Kim had given me. I then tried bending the pole straight.

Placing the flowerpot was not an easy task, either - a long way to keep it steady & it was a tight fit over the larger pipe, Jeff did good.

I may want to rework this project to look more like it previouly looked in 2005. But need to have the weathervane pole straightened first... Maybe Tim will help - he has been a jewel fixing some of my other items!

Trying to mend the flowerpot that was broken when the limb came down on it I was thinking of breaking up completely, but I had just seen a pot at a store recently that had a fake crack. Heck, I had an authentic crack! Frenchie dreamt about why I kept it and how it onlhy broke on one side? I seem to keep him wondering ...

Pounded the pole in ground to place it through the table.

I could lift the table that high - over the support pipe.

I I thought the inner pot would reinforce the outer pot. Gee, so again, I was wrong! The weight of the dirt pushed it lower and spread out the pottery pot's crack.

I had this child's wrought iron chairso I placed it on top for a pottery person could use it.

When I tried redoing the pot, the pot split in half -- my mending didn't work, so what's new?

Supplies for making flowerpot person! I bought a few small pots and a couple of orchid pots.

I glued and used bungee cords to hold it together until Jeff thought of using electric fence wire to hold it better, one can hardly see the wire!

I waited until I couldn't do anymore projects without help.

I dropped one of the legs while constructing, causing one pot to break - so I placed the "parts & pieces" on the table.  Is that too weird to keep :-)

I've "christened" this project, Terry -- after terra cotta pots! Don't know if I'll paint a face or add color elsewhere - "time will tell."
