| layout - click here to view larger and names with location... | Strawberry plants under the mock orange bush (Northwest corner of house)- I only get a few, but I like the plant for a ground cover. I like dual roles for plants and trees - maybe get something to eat with beautification... | Another peach tree - poor placement - just needed to plant the tree somewhere, catnip came up volunteering from when Tina planted herbs, Pink Lemonade Honeysuckle vine & Dwarf Clavey's Honeysuckle bush (purchased from Hays Greenhbouse 5-28-00). Evergreens trimmed to use sidewalk. |

| Herb around the Northeast tree. It was planted at least 10 years ago. I thought I would remember what it was - right! I thought it was marjoram, but after we tasted it, it was more like a oregano... so I try to let it bloom and do more research. | Basil and rosemary (around 2nd northeast tree) | The apricot tree was full of blooms, but... I think all had frozen. I thought I lost all of my peaches, but I was pleasantly surprised to recently find about 6 of them: |

my "bonsai" tree -- (White Georgia Peach) Tina had saved some seeds from our tree when we lived at Buffalo Hills (originally from mom's) and planted 3 seeds together to match the mulberry tree clump. When one of the 3 died, I cut down that one plus the one that was a clingstone, leaving this one all by itself and weirdly shaped, but when it produces they are so-o-o sweet, juicy with thin skin... |
6 peaches survived the freeze! (eating them) |

| My chocolate Mint doesn't look like it's going to make it through the summer. I knew Fuchsia plants have a hard time, but I do enjoy them. | ||

| Only have cleaned this much area of granite gravel (base of rock garden)... The solar lighted face tree stump keeps it's charge most of the night. |
My first 2007 peach of the 6* (8/19/07) - I may have 5 more mornings of peach and coffee outside with my cat :-) But after taking this picture, I got a blood blister from my gate pinching my hand. When I was taking my camera in the house and opening the door it hit my blood blister and I dropped the camera on the concrete porch -- so it no longer works. Later I was cutting the evergreens in the front, so I could actually use the sidewalk and a wasp got me on my lips (I'm in style now with puffy lips, but only the right side!). *actually had 7 -- so my last peach was Sat., 08/25/07 -- cool! |
