Pictures of my
"Little Red Wagon!"

When Paul & Kim were here helping me here in Hays this last Fall, it was mentioned of me not having a "little red wagon" any longer which I miss tremendously. They & Kevin gave me one for Christmas -- very appreciated, even though it was "joke!"

They were going to assemble it in Okla. for me at Christmas, but plans had to be changed because of the dumb flu. It was so pretty today that I thought I had to do something outside & forget about the 4 projects I had already started inside -- oh well. I hadn't actually done any assembly by myself for a "hundred years", so actually I was rather proud of myself. I put the first scratch on the little red wagon because the screwdriver slipped a couple of times -- bummer.

The hammer must have been a very small one in the drawing on the box, because the screwdriver should have been a small one!

Oil isn't a tool - but it showed I needed some. I did find some in the garage!

Tools I actually used: a doo-hicky & smaller screwdriver

I tried the hammer like what they had pictured, but thought I'd rather use the rubber mallet (it did work better)!

Parts I had left-over, must've been extra. Now where to keep it to find it if needed later!!

Finished project, about 1:30 (took about one & a quarter hour). Actually I guess that wasn't too bad for me, since I had to look for the tools & I didn't know what I was doing!

I thought I'd do a virtual reality of the following pictures, but it'll take too long. I already know how to do it, so there wouldn't be an actual reason to do so!

I may do a javascript with them, if the spirit moves me later (I doubt it because I think I'm finished with this)!

Since assembled, it took more space, so I thought I'd place the handle under wagon & some of the roofing material on top of it & store it in the old dog pen, in hopes that we'll get some kind of moisture to avoid it filling up!

This should work ok until I make more room in the garage -- ha!ha!

This is how the cellar door was covered to avoid water from pouring into the basement (again no problem since that problem solved because we haven't received much moisture - but I'm ready!) I also filled in basement cracks & placed more dirt around foundation. This will have to do until I have the time/money to get a porch built over it - do you have either to help? :-) I should contract Home Steel Siding to do the windows soon, but that's just for appearance, not a necessity.

We must've had some wind because this limb was on my sidewalk this morning! Does anyone need any kindling wood for their fireplace?

Other things I did today were going to Daylight Donuts for coffee & roll, went to the campus, finished a web page of the church pictures that was requested for an architect (for "dreams" of remodeling the church?), doing this page (which probably took longer than the actual project, but I thought Paul, Kim & Kevin would enjoy seeing the project - plus Jeff so he knows that he didn't need to help me to it :-), cleaning the carpet in the Nissan's truck which milk had spilled on it yesterday, took the '91 Nissan to Import Repairs for an oil change (as if I did the work, I'll need to take back when the shifter bushing/insulator arrives), may try to still start organizing last year's bills to get ready for income tax & go through AAL stuff yet tonight; depends on time & energy. That's about half of what I was hoping to accomplish today; besides the normal routines (sleeping late, making bed, getting dressed, loading dishwasher, doing some laundry...) so what's new?
